Dixie Here. Let me tell you furry friends how to get more treats. You need to find the items they do not want you to have. Then get a good grip on it. But don’t damage it. That is key. Do not damage the item. Just hold and guard. Then let the negotiations begin! Now pay close attention to my story and then report back once you try it.
Using this fail proof strategy I got three different types of treats. It started with my favorite gingerbread cookies. But I told them that is a good starting place. What else you got. Then my favorite greenies came out. It was tough. The humans thought I was going to drop the item but nope. I kept waiting for the treat that rarely comes out. My bacon treat! Yep they came out in full force. So I gave up the item for a greenie, three gingerbread cookies and several bacon treats! That is how you do it furry friends! Ruff Ruff. Paw Prints. Dixie!!
Dixie: I got the item from the humans!
Dixie: They think I will drop this and go over there for the treat.
Dixie: It is going to take more than this treat.
Dixie: Ok folks. Time to negotiate. What is this worth to you?
Dixie: This is more like it!
Human: Dixie kept us busy with her negotiations! We never thought she was going to let it go.
Dixie here! Wishing you a happy day! I have some fun adventures to share with you this week. I have a lot of fun but often I hear “Dixie No”. The humans are always trying to stop my fun! Ruff Ruff. Paw Prints. Dixie.
Dixie is quite the character! She loves to be involved in everything and lend a helping paw! Last fall was no exception when my husband cut down an older bush. Dixie started with a few gallops around the yard before investigating further what was going on. Of course we keep an eye on her so she does not get injured around the sharp objects.
Dixie is in her glory when she discovered an available branch from the bush. It provided her with some quiet time. But of course that never lasts too long as she is an active dog!
Dixie got bored with the branch then took a couple more gallops around the yard. Then she rediscovered my husband running over to him for kisses. It makes the work a bit challenging but she is too adorable.
My husband gave her a little pet and then she discovered his gloves. And a battle with her trying to take the gloves began! Luckily my husband won that battle!
The day ended with Dixie following my husband into the shed as he tries to put away the summer lawn ornaments – that are fairly heavy! Now it is time to start bringing everything back outside. We shall see what adventures that brings!
Dixie is a 4-year old Rottweiler Border Collie Mix. She has a lot of energy and is very smart – maybe too smart! And she likes to get her own way! Dixie is a lot of fun and brings a smile to everyone who encounters her.
Recently I took a few closeup pictures and she enjoyed having her picture taken! But better yet, she really wanted my iPhone! We always have to be aware of where she is and what she is doing. Dixie is fast and whatever is in your hand can be in her mouth in a flash! And good luck getting it back unless you have a treat and another person in the room to coordinate the steal!
